Theft, impaired, drug abuse presentations
March 24: Trinity Conception District RCMP received a report of an Xbox 360 and a Rock Band Game system, stolen from a residence in Carbonear.
March 26: Someone broke into a residence in Coley’s Point.

March 27: RCMP were on patrol in the district when an officer observed a vehicle cross over the centre line several times. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver, a 37-year-old Conception Bay South man, was investigated for impaired driving. He was charged with refusal to submit to sobriety testing. He is expected to appear in court June 15.
Police were advised a vehicle had gone off the road near the detachment in Harbour Grace. The driver, a 40-year-old Harbour Grace man, was arrested for impaired driving. Court is set for June 1.
March 28: Two propane tanks were reported stolen from a trailer in Brigus. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP, Crime Stopper or rocktips.
Cst. Chalker gave five presentations March 31 and April 2 on prescriptions drug (Rx) and over the counter (OTC) drug abuse to Level 1-3 students in the Healthy Living program at Ascension Collegiate, Bay Roberts.
The presentation discussed the myths related to recreational use of prescription drugs and the dangers and facts.
Students watched a video and listened to Cst. Chalker talk about how youth deal with peer pressure and curiosity related to drug use.
There will be more presentations at Carbonear Collegiate and Amalgamated Academy in the near future.
