Favourite colours

But the Liberals are his favourite team

The Compass - - FRONT PAGE -

When it comes to hockey, this young Coley’s Point man likes blue, the colour worn by his favourite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. But when it comes to politics, his favourite shade is Liberal red, as he heads the provincial party’s youth wing.

Favourite quote from a song?

A line from my favourite group The Doobie Brothers, which says “Jesus is just alright with me.”

What is your most treasured possession?

I would have to say my hockey card collection. I started collecting them at the age of five and collected them throughout my childhood. I don’t know how much they are worth or how many I have, but I know they are a great possession to have.

What are your favorite TV shows?

I know it may sound cliché, but I would have to say my favorite TV show of all times is The Simpsons, I can’t get enough of that show. Of course there are other shows I do watch like Flight of the Concords, The John Door Show, King of the Hill and of course Seinfeld. What is your pet peeve?

The Toronto Maple Leafs not making the playoffs. You know, it really sucks, year after year of being a Leafs’ fan, being so supportive and excited going into the playoffs every time, only to be constantly met with disappointment and disillusionment from what you know is obviously the best team. You know, kind of like the Liberal Party.

PRESIDENT - Chris Snow, Coley’s Point was acclaimed president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Young Liberals Association at this year’s annual AGM in Gander, May 22 and 23.
