Come Home Year 2012 in Pla­cen­tia will en­com­pass all out­ly­ing ar­eas

Ms. Grif­fin said the cel­e­bra­tions will in­clude not only the town of Pla­cen­tia but sur­round­ing com­mu­ni­ties like Fox Har­bour, Ship Har­bour and Point Verde and will ex­tend to in­clude peo­ple who were with the U. S. Navy as well.

“ We were talk­ing about the pos­si­bil­i­ties dur­ing the Laval Come Home Year,” Ms. Grif­fin said, “ and Margie and I kept talk­ing about it. Most peo­ple we spoke to thought it was a great idea.”

While the plan­ning is re­ally just beginning, or­ga­niz­ers are seek­ing in­put and as­sis­tance from the pub­lic on all as­pects of the plan­ning.
