It’s no trick!

Ambulance to hand out Halloween treats along North Shore

The Compass - - NEWS - BY DANIEL MACEACHERN

Trick-or-treaters along the north shore of Conception Bay can expect a visit from an ambulance this Halloween.

For the 13th straight year, the North Shore Central Ambulance Co-Op is holding its “safe treats” event. On Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31, the ambulance service will travel along Route 70, from Job’s Cove to Kingston, handing out treats to kids in their Halloween finest.

The event is meant to encourage parents to escort their children while trick-or-treating, as well as to promote safe habits that are “easily forgotten by children,” according to a press release from the ambulance service.

The release also says if the ambulance needs to respond to an emergency, another vehicle will take over the treat distribution.
