One man charged after drugs seized from Trinity Bay home
A Heart’s Delight-area man is facing charges after police seized drugs and cash from a residence Feb. 13.
Acting on information from the public, Trinity Conception RCMP’s general investigation section and officers from the area, along with a police dog, searched a Trinity Bay home in the early evening.
About 57 grams of marijuana were seized, along with $3,400 in cash, as well as a rifle and ammunition. One 50-year-old area man was arrested, according to police. Cpl. Tony Griffiths of the RCMP’s Harbour Grace detachment says charges are pending under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Firearms Act, and the Criminal Code. The man is due to appear in court to answer to the charges.
