One man charged af­ter drugs seized from Trin­ity Bay home

A Heart’s De­light-area man is fac­ing charges af­ter po­lice seized drugs and cash from a res­i­dence Feb. 13.

Act­ing on in­for­ma­tion from the pub­lic, Trin­ity Con­cep­tion RCMP’s gen­eral in­ves­ti­ga­tion sec­tion and of­fi­cers from the area, along with a po­lice dog, searched a Trin­ity Bay home in the early evening.

About 57 grams of mar­i­juana were seized, along with $3,400 in cash, as well as a ri­fle and am­mu­ni­tion. One 50-year-old area man was ar­rested, ac­cord­ing to po­lice. Cpl. Tony Grif­fiths of the RCMP’s Har­bour Grace de­tach­ment says charges are pend­ing un­der the Con­trolled Drugs and Sub­stances Act, the Firearms Act, and the Crim­i­nal Code. The man is due to ap­pear in court to an­swer to the charges.
