Branch 32 Bay Roberts Legion Welcomes 2nd CAV Canadian Army Veterans “Lys Unit” into the Branch!

The Compass - - NEWS -

February month has seen a perfect marriage of two Veteran based organizations; 2nd CAV Canadian Army Veterans “Lys Motorcycle Unit” and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 32 Bay Roberts. During the Branch 32 Annual Meeting on Feb 7, by unanimous executive vote, Branch 32 welcomed the 2nd CAV Lys Unit into the Branch. Branch 32 has provided the CAV Unit with their own space within the branch. This enables the Lys Unit to display their memorabilia for public viewing, a place to conduct general meetings and hold various fundraising events. Branch 32 President Ross Petten was also Crested in as a new member of the Lys Motorcycle Unit and shortly thereafter Gary Squire of 2nd CAV HQ “Newfoundland” was voted on to Branch 32 executive for 2010. This is just the beginning of great things to come, so please drop by the branch for a visit. We have a fully stocked bar, video lottery, a snooker table, regular size pool table, an outside deck, a beautiful marina, picnic tables and we are wheelchair accessible. The public is welcome to come in and enjoy our facilities!

Remember, there is always something to do at Branch 32
