Right cause, wrong approach

The Compass - - OPINION -

Dear editor,

I would like to say a few words concerning Ms. Yetman’s view on our town.

While I agree certain areas need cleaning up, Mayor Coombs is only a human being. He can’t go to each and every person and demand that things be cleaned up. Individuals should have the common sense to do this on their own.

As for the comments and pictures Ms. Yetman put on Facebook, I think this was the wrong action to take. Maybe a letter to Mr. Coombs and the council members would have been a better approach. Remember you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Also if she thinks so much of her beautiful town why would she paint such terrible pictures of it on Facebook for all the world to see?

On another thought, maybe some effort could be put into getting some wheelchair ramps to businesses and places of interest. One place that comes to mind is the Harbour Grace Medical Centre and Drug Store.

Cherie Dove, Harbour Grace
