Alcohol and drugs affect our thinking, our inhibitions, and our behaviour. We can become more violent, less patient, and what we do or not do may affect the rest of our lives. You are not yourself when you are under the influence of mindaltering substances, such as drugs and alcohol, including prescription drugs. But this is no defence for our actions. Please remember, life is precious, drugs of any kind can harm you and others.
