April 9 - An in­tox­i­cated per­son out­side the Pow­ell’s su­per­mar­ket in Carbonear was re­ported to the RCMP. A 20-year-old man from North River was sub­se­quently ar­rested for fail­ing to com­ply with the con­di­tions of his pro­ba­tion. Court is set for May 17.

April 11 - Break and en­ter into a sea­sonal res­i­dence in Makin­sons was re­ported to the RCMP. The trailer was en­tered through the back door, and the propane tanks were taken. April 10 - Trin­ity Con­cep­tion District RCMP of­fi­cers were on pa­trol Bay Roberts when they ob­served a known sub­ject to po­lice out­side a lo­cal drink­ing es­tab­lish­ment.

A 28-year-old man from Bay Roberts was ar­rested for fail­ing to com­ply with the con­di­tions of his pro­ba­tion. Court is set for June 7.

RCMP re­ceived a re­port that a man p ro­hibi t ed to b e in o r around a spe­cific ad­dress in Til­ton was at the ad­dress. Fol­low­ing an in­ves­ti­ga­tion, a 22-yearold Til­ton man was ar­rested for fail­ing to com­ply with court or­dered con­di­tions and fail­ing to com­ply with the con­di­tions of his pro­ba­tion. Court is set for April 20.

Shoplift­ing at Wal-Mart in Carbonear was re­ported to the RCMP. A 24-year-old fe­male from Bay Roberts was ar­rested. Court is set for June 22.

An as­sault was re­ported from Bay Roberts. A 56-year-old man was ar­rested for as­sault on a 64year-old man from Bay Roberts.

Up­com­ing events from your Com­mu­nity Polic­ing Of­fi­cer

The Drug Aware­ness pro­gram is most com­monly taught in the ele­men­tary schools at the Grade 5 and 6 lev­els. This year the D.A.R.E. “ Keepin’ it REAL” 10-week pro­gram was taught to seven of the Healthy Liv­ing classes at As­cen­sion Col­le­giate in Bay Roberts. The Com­mu­nity Polic­ing of­fi­cer, Cst. Vicki Chalker pre­sented the pro­gram to all th e classes of Healthy Liv­ing stu­dents at As­cen­sion. Some 225 stu­dents have com­pleted all 10 weeks of the pro­gram. Con­grat­u­la­tions to the stu­dents, and the teach­ers on com­plet­ing the f irst new Mid­dle School pro­gram on the Avalon Penin­sula. Great work!!
