Carbonear council notes
Council will issue a demolition order to the owner of 3 Beverley Road to demolish the structure on the property within 30 days of receiving the order.
Council will install approximately 20 metres of curb along the east side of Forest Road where it intersects with the second section of Forest Road and install a STOP sign at that location. The project was recommended by the Public Works, Recreation and Special Events Committee
The Development, Cultural and Tourism Initiatives Committee presented motions, which were passed by council.
The town approved a permit for an extension to the accessory building at 4 Pike’s Lane as per the application and plans submitted with an amendment to the minimum rearyard to five metres. The permit is subject to required approvals from the Department of Government Services and Lands and/or other government agencies and departments. It is also subject to the requirements of the Carbonear Municipal Plan and Development Regulations.
Council approved a permit to construct an extension to the single dwelling at 8 Marshall Drive as per the application submitted. The approval is subject to receiving no objections to the variance ad published to vary the rear yard require- ment from nine metres to 8.1 metres on the application and in accordance with the Carbonear Municipal Plan and Development Regulations.
The town approved for payment a list of operating invoices totalling $65,893.32 as presented to council by the Finance, Administration and Human Resources Committee.
