COOMBS, Ter­rance — of Car­bon­ear, who passed away peace­fully at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal, Fri­day, July 30, 2010. Mr. Coombs was 82 years old. He leaves to mourn his lov­ing fam­ily; spe­cial cousins Ge­orgina and Rod­ney Par­sons, and Daphne and Richard Par­sons; cousins Wil­liam and Cather­ine Coombs, and Ger­ald and Betty Coombs; home­care worker Patsy Dun­phy, and other fam­ily mem­bers, relatives and friends. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents John and Anas­ta­sia; broth­ers and sis­ters Cyril, Arthur, Ann and Lena; and Un­cle Thomas and Aunt Hanora Coombs. The fu­neral mass took place at Scared Heart Church and Ceme­tery, Heart’s De­sire, on Mon­day, Aug. 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions may be made to The Ter­rance Coombs Me­mo­rial Fund. SEY­MOUR, Robert C. — Passed peace­fully but sud­denly away in the pres­ence of his lov­ing wife at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Thurs­day, July 29, 2010, Robert C. Sey­mour of Har­bour Grace, age 80 years. For­mer CN Em­ployee. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents Robert and El­iz­a­beth; broth­ers Solomon and Bert; sis­ter Vi­o­let and in­fant baby sis­ter Dot. Left to mourn his lov­ing wife of 45 years, Max­ine; daugh­ter Laura (Lamonte) Stagg of Bare­need; son Robert (Glenda) of Co­ley’s Point; two pre­cious grand­chil­dren: Megan and Aaron; two sis­ters: Freda Mercer, Har­bour Grace and Mary ( Jack) Mercer, Spa­niard’s Bay; sis­ters-in­law: Char­lotte Sey­mour and Jessie Sey­mour, both of St. John’s; spe­cial friend: sis­ter Ros­aline Hynes; also a large num­ber of other relatives and friends. Rested Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Har­vey Street, Har­bour Grace. Rev. Shirley Nose­wor­thy con­ducted the fu­neral ser­vice on Mon­day, Aug. 2 at St. Paul’s Angli­can Church, Har­bour Grace. Inurn­ment took place on Wed­nes­day, Aug. 4 at St. Paul’s Angli­can Ceme­tery, Har­bour Grace. Do­na­tions in his me­mory may be made to the St. Paul’s Angli­can Church Restora­tion Fund. Fu­neral ar­range­ments were en­trusted to the care of Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Har­bour Grace.
