ROGERS, Beatrice M. — Passed peace­fully away at the Hoyles Es­ca­soni Com­plex, St. John’s on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 4, 2010, Beatrice M. Rogers of Lower Is­land Cove, age 95 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Ge­orge in 1987. Left to mourn with fond and lov­ing mem­o­ries are her two daugh­ters: Emma Snel­grove, Mount Pearl and Sh­eryl (Robert) Bursey, Old Per­li­can; two sons: Harry ( Judy) Rogers, Mount Pearl and David (Pearl) Rogers, Hare Bay; 12 grand­chil­dren: Con­nie (Bert) Ings, Robert (Lea-Ann) Rogers, Rhonda Bursey, Trent (Heather) Rogers, Yolanda ( Jamie) Collins, Scott (Melissa) Bursey, Vanessa Rogers, Phillip Rogers, Stephanie (Ian) Bick­ford, Stacey Rogers, An­drew Snel­grove and Ch­eryl Snel­grove; six great-grand­chil­dren: Laura, Alexan­der, Ge­or­gia, Noah, Emma and Evan; also a large num­ber of other relatives and friends. Rested at the Sal­va­tion Army Ci­tadel, Lower Is­land Cove. Capts. Wel­don and Donna Hay­ward con­ducted the fu­neral ser­vice on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 7 at the Sal­va­tion Army Ci­tadel, Lower Is­land Cove. ADAMS, Mar­garet I. Udell — Passed peace­fully away at the In­ter­faith Cit­i­zen’s Home, Car­bon­ear on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 2, 2010, Mar­garet I. Udell Adams of Car­bon­ear, in her 100th year. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Jack Adams; par­ents: John and Ma­bel Udell; broth­ers: Gra­ham, John, Wil­liam and Alec; sis­ters: Emma, Mary and Dorothy. Left to mourn with cher­ished mem­o­ries are her brother: Harold (Ber­nice), St. John’s; nephew: John; nieces Mar­i­lyn, Jane (Phil), Eli­nor, Mar­garet (David), Jan­ice, Joyce and Nancy; also a num­ber of other relatives and friends of El­iz­a­beth Tow­ers, St. David’s Pres­by­te­rian Church, the IODE, the Se­niors Re­source Cen­ter, all of St. John’s, the Com­mu­nity Li­brary, Corner Brook and Beta Sigma Phi. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Arthur and Mary; son: Fred; broth­ers: Walt and Cyril; sis­ters: Edith and Ol­lie.
