O’KEEFE, Mrs. Christina (Hatch) — Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal, in the pres­ence of her chil­dren, on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 13, 2010, Mrs. Christina Hatch O’Keefe of Car­bon­ear. Mrs. O’Keefe was 84 years old. She leaves to mourn her lov­ing fam­ily, chil­dren: Mary Jo Tet­ford, Pa­trick O’Keefe, Fonce ( Joyce) O’Keefe, Eleanor (Den­nis) Ash, Kate (Mike) Butt, Char­lotte Yet­man, Bill (Ann) O’Keefe, Mike (Pam) O’Keefe, Alice (Ben) O’Keefe and Bri­die Ze­lasko; 25 grand­chil­dren; 12 great-grand­chil­dren; nieces; neph­ews; broth­ers-in-law; sis­ters-in-law and a large num­ber of other relatives and friends. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Wil­liam E. O’Keefe; par­ents: Alphonsus and Josephine Hatch; broth­ers: Pa­trick Hatch, Ned Hatch, Michael Hatch and Fonce Hatch; sis­ters: Lolly (Alice) Wil­liams and Char­lotte Par­rott; grand­daugh­ter: Kathy Tet­ford. The fu­neral mass took place at St. Pa­trick’s R.C. Church and Ceme­tery, Car­bon­ear on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. The fam­ily re­ceived relatives and friends at Slade’s Fu­neral Home, Pow­ell Drive, Car­bon­ear be­tween the hours of 10:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. on Thurs­day.
