No bail for alleged shoplifter
A 30-year-old male from Shearstown facing charges for allegedly shoplifting at Shoppers Drug Mart in Bay Roberts was denied bail last Tuesday after he was arrested over the weekend for a separate incident.
According to the RCMP, Cory Everett Earle was arrested on Oct. 17 in Bay Roberts following a traffic stop at 1:43 a.m. Earle was the passenger in the vehicle. Recognizance conditions specified he was to be in his place of residence between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Following this arrest, Earle was charged for breaching his recognizance, obstructing a peace officer for failing to provide proper identification, and breaching probation.
On Nov. 7 , 2 0 0 9 , E a rle was charged with theft under $5,000 for allegedly shoplifting from the Shopper Drug Mart in Bay Roberts.
He was arrested again on March 31, 2010 following an incident at the Kozy Glow Lounge in Spaniard’s Bay. Earle was charged for assault with a weapon, resisting arrest, causing a disturbance, and breaching probation.
He now faces a total of 15 charges. Earle was scheduled to next appear in court on Oct. 25.
