No bail for al­leged shoplifter

A 30-year-old male from Shearstown fac­ing charges for al­legedly shoplift­ing at Shop­pers Drug Mart in Bay Roberts was de­nied bail last Tues­day af­ter he was ar­rested over the week­end for a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent.

Ac­cord­ing to the RCMP, Cory Everett Earle was ar­rested on Oct. 17 in Bay Roberts fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop at 1:43 a.m. Earle was the pas­sen­ger in the ve­hi­cle. Re­cog­ni­zance con­di­tions spec­i­fied he was to be in his place of res­i­dence be­tween 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Fol­low­ing this ar­rest, Earle was charged for breach­ing his re­cog­ni­zance, ob­struct­ing a peace of­fi­cer for fail­ing to pro­vide proper iden­ti­fi­ca­tion, and breach­ing pro­ba­tion.

On Nov. 7 , 2 0 0 9 , E a rle was charged with theft un­der $5,000 for al­legedly shoplift­ing from the Shop­per Drug Mart in Bay Roberts.

He was ar­rested again on March 31, 2010 fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent at the Kozy Glow Lounge in Spa­niard’s Bay. Earle was charged for as­sault with a weapon, re­sist­ing ar­rest, caus­ing a dis­tur­bance, and breach­ing pro­ba­tion.

He now faces a to­tal of 15 charges. Earle was sched­uled to next ap­pear in court on Oct. 25.
