letters to Santa

The Compass - - FRONT PAGE -

Now that we have put away the Halloween costumes, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas. And if you’re a young person in this region, it’s also time to start thinking about your letter to Santa Claus.

Again this year, The Compass is inviting our young readers to submit their letters and photos. The fee for publishing letters is $5, with or without a photo. Sorry, we cannot return photos.

We asked boys and girls to keep their letters as brief as possible (no more than 100 words), and we reserve the right to edit/shorten them for space. Due to the large volume of letters, we cannot commit to a publication date.

The deadline is Nov. 26 for all letters and photos to be received, so we encourage you to move quickly to ensure you are not disappointed.

And there’s something new this year. You can e-mail your letters and photos to the following: santa@cbncompass.ca. E-mailed letters must include payment by Visa or Mastercard. You can also drop off your letter at our office at 176 Water Street, Carbonear, of by mail at P.O. Box 760, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1C3.
