The Compass - - FRONT PAGE -

The countdown to Christmas is heating up (or, depending on how you look at things, cooling down). The young ones are bound to be thinking more and more about what will happen after Santa Claus drops by for a visit on Dec. 25. Again this year, The Compass is inviting young readers to send in their letters to Santa Claus, which will then be printed in the paper. The fee for publishing a letter is $5, with or without a photo. Photos, unfortunately, cannot be returned. All letters should no more than 100 words, and The Compass reserves the right to make edits as necessary. Due to the volume of letters anticipated each year, we cannot commit to a publication date. The deadline to receive letters is Nov. 26. They can be e-mailed to the paper at santa@cbncompass.ca. An e-mailed letter must include a VISA or Mastercard number for payment. Letters may also be dropped off in Carbonear at 176 Water Street, or may be sent by mail to The Compass, P.O. Box 760, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1C3.
