Somers, Hoben leads Po­sei­don

Car­bon­ear swim meet last event at pool be­fore clo­sure for up­grades


The Po­sei­don Swim Club of Car­bon­ear swam to some solid re­sults while host­ing the Satel­lite East 2011 meet Jan 14-16, col­lect­ing 14 top-three fin­ishes.

A pair of Po­sei­don swim­mers did well enough to place as top achievers in their re­spec­tive age cat­e­gories.

Al­li­son Somers nabbed three firsts and two sec­ond-place fin­ishes to se­cure the sec­ond-top-achiever award in the girls 13-14 cat­e­gory, while Dylan Hoben cap­tured one first and three sec­ond-place fin­ishes to grab the third-place award in 11-12 boys.

The meet at­tracted 211 swim­mers from five teams, and was the last event at the Car­bon­ear pool be­fore it was closed for up­grades. The fol­low­ing is a sum­mary of re­sult for those who fin­ished in the top-three.
