Shed break-ins ac­cu­mu­late

The fol­low­ing is a snap­shot of sev­eral in­ves­ti­ga­tions over the last week which high­lights the na­ture of some calls we re­ceived and iden­ti­fies in­ci­dents that the pub­lic can pos­si­bly help us with by pro­vid­ing in­for­ma­tion. Jan. 12 • Re­ceived a re­port of prop­erty dam­age in Car­bon­ear. A ve­hi­cle went through a res­i­den­tial fence caus­ing dam­age to the fence, yard and trees. Jan. 15 • Re­ceived a re­port of a male in breach of his con­di­tions on his un­der­tak­ing. As a re­sult of the in­ves­ti­ga­tion a 42 year old male res­i­dent of Bay Roberts was ar­rested. Bail hear­ing set for Jan. 24.

• Re­ceived a re­port of prop­erty dam­age to a busi­ness. Three large win­dows were bro­ken at En­ter­tain­ment Ex­change in Car­bon­ear.

• Re­ceived a re­port of a theft from a shed lo­cated on a res­i­den­tial prop­erty in Car­bon­ear. Re­ported stolen were three dozen beer.

• Re­ceived a re­port of a break and en­ter into a shed in Car­bon­ear. The pad­lock was bro­ken off the door but there was noth­ing re­ported stolen. Jan. 16 • Re­ceived a re­port of break and en­ter into a shed lo­cated on a res­i­den­tial prop­erty in Car­bon­ear. There was noth­ing re­ported stolen. Sus­pect was seen ex­it­ing the shed and is de­scribed as a male stand­ing be­tween five-foot-four to five-footeight inches tall, with light brown hair wear­ing a black jacket with grey stripes, jeans and sneak­ers.

• Re­ceived a re­port of an armed rob­bery at the Irv­ing gas sta­tion in River­head, Har­bour Grace. A lone dis­guised male en­tered the store bran­dish­ing a knife and de­manded money from the cash reg­is­ter. The sus­pect fled on foot with an undis­closed amount of cash. Jan. 17 • Re­ceived a re­port of a hit and run to a ve­hi­cle while parked on the T.C. Square park­ing lot in Car­bon­ear.
