Plenty of discussion at policy session
Two dozen attend Liberal meeting in Bay Roberts, including Brad Cabana
A two-hour public consultation session hosted by the provincial Liberals in Bay Roberts last week generated plenty of discussion about the state of the province.
And former Conservativeturned-Liberal Brad Cabana of Hickman’s Harbour was among those providing input as the Opposition continued a cross-province series of meetings to gauge the views of voters leading up to the October 11 provincial election.
It was Cabana’s first public show of support for the provincial Liberals since his high-profile split with the governing Progressive Conservatives. Cabana, who moved to this province a year ago, made headlines when he attempted to challenge Premier Kathy Dunderdale for the party leadership.
His candidacy was refused, however, because the party argued that the people who signed his nomination papers were not official PC members.
