WISE­MAN, Betty (nee Power) — Passed peace­fully away at the In­ter­faith Cit­i­zen’s Home, Car­bon­ear on Tues­day, March 8, 2011, Betty Wise­man (nee Power) of Har­bour Grace; for­merly of South Wales, UK, age 89 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Edgar; daugh­ter: Glo­ria; son-in-law: Ernest F. Allen Jr.; brothers: Fred­er­ick John and Al­bert; sis­ters: Molly, Mar­garet, Win­nie and Joan. Leav­ing to mourn, one daugh­ter: Diane Allen, Ware­ham, Mas­sachusetts, USA; one son: Robert (Ali­son), Lon­don, ON; son-in-law: Dou­glas Smith, St. John‘s; nine grand­chil­dren: Jonathan (Deb­bie), Ja­son, Matthew, Dar­ryl, Christine (Ryan), Stephanie, Heather (Kevin), Car­lene and James; five great-grand­chil­dren: Ryan, Kyle, Nathan, Daniel and Nora; sis­ters-in-law: He­len Nose­wor­thy and Olive An­drews, both of St. John’s and Eleanor ( James) Cur­renn, On­tario; brother-in-law: Robert Cole, St. John’s; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Harvey Street, Har­bour Grace. Rev. Shirley Noeswor­thy con­ducted the fu­neral ser­vice on Satur­day, March 12 at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Har­bour Grace. Rev. Gail Mac­Don­ald con­ducted the In­ter­ment at St. Thomas Anglican Ceme­tery, For­est Rd., St. John’s. Do­na­tions in Betty’s mem­ory may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Har­bour Grace. DOYLE, Edna — Passed peace­fully away at her res­i­dence sur­rounded by her lov­ing fam­ily on Sun­day, March 13, 2011, Edna Doyle of North­ern Bay, age 71 years. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Joseph and Pa­tri­cia De­laney; brother: Jack; sis­ter-in-law: Jenny. Left to mourn, hus­band: Andrew; one son: Richard (Mar­garet), Gull Is­land; four daugh­ters: An­gela (Ram­sey) Lambert and Deb­bie (Glen) Driscoll, both of Grates Cove, Marie Meadus (Ron Moses), New Brunswick and Pa­tri­cia (Keith) Snel­grove, St. John’s; 10 grand­chil­dren: An­drea, Keith, Kris­tle, Keri, Ni­cole, Lee, Natasha, Emily, Ri­ley and Cody; two great­grand­chil­dren: Andrew and Chloe; four brothers: Tom (Shirley), Ray­mond (Irene), Andrew ( Jan­ice) and Ger­ald (Lor­raine); one sis­ter: Genevive (Cyril) De­laney; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends.
