The team is comprised of 13 players from minor hockey associations in Bay Roberts and Harbour Grace. The team captured silver at two previous tournaments this season, and also finished second at the provincials in 2010 and 2009.

The Roverines finished third after round-robin play in the five-team event, and was awarded the bronze medal.

Pike singled out Natalie Keeping, who scored eight of her team’s 15 goals. Courtney Petten also had three goals, while Brooke Williamson played a solid defensive game against the oppositions’ top lines. Goaltener Courtney Caravan was also “incredible,” said Pike.

The tournament was sponsored by the Bay Arena Minor Hockey Moms.
