The 2011 Telegram Herder Memorial Championship series between the Conception Bay North Eastlink CeeBee Stars and the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts got underway March 25-26 at Mile One Centre in St. John’s with Games 1 and 2. The Cataracts won both contests, and were attempting to wrap-up the series this past weekend (results not available because of The Compass’ Friday deadline). The Telegram’s Joe Gibbons and The Compass’ Andrew Robinson were on hand to capture some images from the first two games of the best-ofseven series.
The Conception Bay North Eastlink CeeBee Stars attempt to setup one last play in the dying seconds of Game 2 during a timeout called by the Grand Falls-Windsor Cataracts. The Cataracts held on to win the game 5-4.
