ELLA GLA­DYS ROWE (nee DAVIS)— It is with deep sad­ness and love, we an­nounce that Ella Gla­dys Rowe (nee Davis) passed peace­fully away at the Glen­brook Lodge on Tor­bay Road in St. John’s with fam­ily by her side on Wed­nes­day, June 15, 2011 at the age of 86. Pre­de­ceased by her hus­band Fred­er­ick E. Rowe (1989), sis­ter Min­nie Morris and three brothers Clif­ford, Melvin, and Hu­bert Davis. Left to mourn are her daugh­ters Mar­i­lyn Mayo (Ted), Gan­der, Bev­er­ley Fur­long (Ger­ald), Tor­bay, Deb­bie Sparkes ( Roy), Bay Roberts and one son El­liot Rowe ( Josephine), Labrador City; nine grand­chil­dren Ch­eryl, Craig, Deanne, Shawn, Justin, Courtney, Ste­fan, Brit­tany and Adam; nine great-grand­chil­dren; sis­ters-in-law Mae Davis, Fran­cis Tay­lor and Marge Barnes and many other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Car­nell’s Fu­neral Home, 329 Fresh­wa­ter Road on Fri­day, June 17, 2011. Fu­neral ser­vice was held on Satur­day, June 18, 2011 from the Car­nell Me­mo­rial Chapel. In­ter­ment fol­lowed at the Pen­te­costal Ceme­tery, Car­bon­ear. Do­na­tions in her mem­ory may be made to the Alzheimer’s So­ci­ety.
