Area schools win smart boards

The Compass - - EDITORIAL OPINION -

While many students may not be looking forward to going back to school in September, students and teachers at Coley’s Point Elementary in Bay Roberts and Ackerman Elementary in Green’s Harbour have something to look forward to come fall.

On July 5, both schools were the recipients of new SMART board interactive whiteboards.

Bell Aliant Pioneers awarded 12 SMART boards to schools across the province as part of its community investment program.

The SMART boards were awarded based on a Newfoundland-wide contest that had students submit presentations highlighting their schools’ volunteer efforts and what the technology would mean to the school.
