The following is a snapshot of several investigations over the last week which highlights the nature of some calls we received and identifies incidents that the public can possibly help us with by providing information.
July 21 Trinity Conception District RCMP responded to a complaint at a residence in Bay Roberts. As a result of an investigation, a 29-year-old male resident of Shearstown was arrested and subsequently charged with mischief, breach of an undertaking and a breach of probation. He was found guilty and sentenced to 42 days in jail.
• Received a report of a missing Spaniard’s Bay man, 58-year-old Terrance Pike, who was last seen walking south on the Conception Bay Highway in Bay Roberts, near Subway. He was last seen wearing dark blue coveralls, a green checkered short sleeve shirt, and black shoes. Mr. Pike is described as six-feet tall and weighing between 210 and 220 pounds.
• Received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Carbonear. As a result of this investigation, a 32-year-old male resident of Carbonear was arrested.
• Received a call of a hit-and-run that occurred in the community of Old Perlican. A grey vehicle was seen leaving the scene with a licence plate that starts with “CW.”
• Received a report of a break and enter into a residence in Harbour Grace. A quantity of cash and some jewelry was stolen as a result.
July 22 Police conducted a traffic stop following a tip from the general public. As a result, a 34-year-old male resident of Bay Roberts was arrested
