The fol­low­ing is a snapshot of sev­eral in­ves­ti­ga­tions over the last week which high­lights the na­ture of some calls we re­ceived and iden­ti­fies in­ci­dents that the pub­lic can pos­si­bly help us with by pro­vid­ing in­for­ma­tion.

July 21 Trin­ity Con­cep­tion District RCMP re­sponded to a com­plaint at a res­i­dence in Bay Roberts. As a re­sult of an in­ves­ti­ga­tion, a 29-year-old male res­i­dent of Shearstown was ar­rested and sub­se­quently charged with mis­chief, breach of an un­der­tak­ing and a breach of pro­ba­tion. He was found guilty and sen­tenced to 42 days in jail.

• Re­ceived a re­port of a miss­ing Spa­niard’s Bay man, 58-year-old Ter­rance Pike, who was last seen walk­ing south on the Con­cep­tion Bay High­way in Bay Roberts, near Sub­way. He was last seen wear­ing dark blue cov­er­alls, a green check­ered short sleeve shirt, and black shoes. Mr. Pike is de­scribed as six-feet tall and weigh­ing be­tween 210 and 220 pounds.

• Re­ceived a re­port of a do­mes­tic dis­tur­bance at a res­i­dence in Car­bon­ear. As a re­sult of this in­ves­ti­ga­tion, a 32-year-old male res­i­dent of Car­bon­ear was ar­rested.

• Re­ceived a call of a hit-and-run that oc­curred in the com­mu­nity of Old Per­li­can. A grey ve­hi­cle was seen leav­ing the scene with a li­cence plate that starts with “CW.”

• Re­ceived a re­port of a break and en­ter into a res­i­dence in Har­bour Grace. A quan­tity of cash and some jew­elry was stolen as a re­sult.

July 22 Po­lice con­ducted a traf­fic stop fol­low­ing a tip from the gen­eral pub­lic. As a re­sult, a 34-year-old male res­i­dent of Bay Roberts was ar­rested
