from a res­i­dent who ob­served the male steal­ing from a ve­hi­cle on Do­min­ion park­ing lot. The po­lice ser­vice dog was used, but the sus­pect could not be lo­cated. The male was ar­rested the next evening and re­leased for court on Oct. 3.

• Of­fi­cers re­sponded to a twove­hi­cle col­li­sion on Vet­er­ans Me­mo­rial High­way be­tween Til­ton and Har­bour Grace. Four peo­ple were in­jured in the col­li­sion. One male was ejected from one of the ve­hi­cles. RCMP are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cause of the ac­ci­dent.

Tips Mo­tor ve­hi­cle col­li­sions

In an ef­fort to re­duce ve­hi­cle col­li­sions, the RCMP has stepped up en­force­ment at in­ter­sec­tions and traf­fic con­trol signs and on speed­ing.
