S. EVE­LYN TAY­LOR — Passed peace­fully away at the In­ter­faith Cit­i­zens Home, Car­bon­ear on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 15, 2011, S. Eve­lyn Tay­lor of Bris­tol’s Hope, age 84 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Robert H.; par­ents: Matthew and Ma­bel Dean; sis­ter: Lavinia Snow. Left to mourn, one brother: Ed­ward ( Jane) Dean, Car­bon­ear; two sis­ters: Emily O’Brien, Ply­mouth, Mas­sachusetts, USA and Frances Piercey, Car­bon­ear; also a num­ber of nieces, neph­ews and other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Har­vey Street, Har­bour Grace. Rev. Linda Burt con­ducted the funeral ser­vice on Sun­day, Septem­ber 18 from Cough­lan United Church, Har­bour Grace. RITA HO­GAN — Passed peace­fully away at the Har­bour Lodge Nurs­ing Home, Car­bon­ear on Mon­day, Septem­ber 12, 2011, Rita Ho­gan of North­ern Bay, age 76 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Lawrence; par­ents: Michael and Agnes Lay­man; brother: John and sis­ter: An­nie Jane. Left to mourn, two daugh­ters: An­nie Jane Ho­gan, Cam­bridge, ON and Martina (Oral Sum­mers), Vic­to­ria; seven sons: Aloy­sius, Mis­sis­sauga, ON, Larry, North­ern Bay, Frank, Bramp­ton, ON, Cyril (Faith), St. John’s, Fabian ( Joanne), Cale­don East, ON, Damian (Su­san), North­ern Bay and Rapheal (Cindy), Bramp­ton, ON; thir­teen grand­chil­dren: Krys­tal, Jeff, Terry, Steve, Scott, Nikki, Martina, Ash­ley, Jes­sica, Chelsey, Ja­cob, Lawrence and Kaitlin; one great­grand­daugh­ter: Chloe; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends.
