ROS­ALIE ALICE ( Nee HIS­COCK) QUINN — passed peace­fully away on Oc­to­ber 1, 2011 at the Health Sciences Com­plex, St. John’s. Ros­alie Quinn, RN, of Clarkes’s Beach and for­mally of Win­ter­ton. Leav­ing to mourn sis­ters Muriel ( Rev. Dr. Wal­lace) Baker, St John’s; Au­drey His­cock, Vic­to­ria B. C; brother Rev. Boyd ( Ruth) His­cock, Ot­tawa, ON; also nieces, neph­ews, grand nieces and neph­ews, rel­a­tives and friends. Ros­alie was a grad­u­ate of the Grace Hos­pi­tal School of Nurs­ing 1961, and spent her ca­reer serv­ing sev­eral hos­pi­tals and nurs­ing homes through­out the prov­ince. Spe­cial thanks to the many doc­tors, nurses, and chap­lains who pro­vided her with ex­cep­tional care over the past three months and to her many friends who vis­ited and called through­out her ill­ness. Cre­ma­tion has taken place. In­ter­ment will be held at a later date in Trinity United Church Ceme­tery, Win­ter­ton. CE­CILIA LYNCH — Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Fri­day, Septem­ber 30, 2011, Ce­cilia Lynch of Har­bour Grace, age 66 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Nathaniel ‘ Nath’; in­fant son: Ed­ward; grand­son: Nathaniel ‘ Buddy’ Lynch; par­ents: Lawrence and Mary Mercer. Left to mourn two daugh­ters: Jeanette ( Darrell) Butt, Han­mer, ON and Alice ( Kevin) Pye, Har­bour Grace; three grand­chil­dren: Jonah, Ryan and Jonathan; five broth­ers: Lawrence ( An­gela) Mercer, Par­adise, Ralph ( Donna) Mercer, Bridge­wa­ter, NS, Ed ( Sylvia) Mercer and Don ( Ros­alind) Mercer, both of Har­bour Grace and Jerry ( Cather­ine) Mercer, Har­bour Grace South; four sis­ters: Sadie (Gra­ham) Lynch, Har­bour Grace, Frances ( Mal­colm) Sears, Par­adise, Veron­ica ( Wal­ter) Fol­lett and Janet Mercer, both of Har­bour Grace; sis­ter-in-law: Hazel Lynch, Har­bour Grace; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends.
