JOHN C. DE­LANEY — Passed peace­fully away at the Har­bour Lodge Nurs­ing Home, Car­bon­ear on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 9, 2011, John C. De­laney of Broad Cove, age 94 years. Pre­de­ceased by son: Clarence; daugh­ter: Lo­raine Ware­ham; son-in-law: Jim Ware­ham; par­ents: John and Lucy; broth­ers: Wil­liam and Mal­colm; sis­ters: An­nie Reid, Mil­li­cent King, Jen­nie Whalen and Lil­lian King. Left to mourn, wife: Louisa; five grand­chil­dren: Lon­nie (Wanda), Ma­jor Louise, Glo­ria (Mark), Capts. Jen­nifer (Bradley) and Cur­tis; four great-grand­chil­dren: Jenna, Cameron, Caden and Bran­don; daugh­ter-in-law: Glo­ria De­laney (Nor­man), Job’s Cove; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main High­way, Western Bay. Rev. Roscoe Cole con­ducted the funeral ser­vice on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 12 at Ocean View United Church, Broad Cove. Soper Sr. of Car­bon­ear, age 87 years.
