WIL­FRED WAL­BOURNE — age 59, passed peace­fully away on Oc­to­ber 13th 2011, af­ter a two year bat­tle with can­cer. He was pre­de­ceased by his par­ents, Ge­orge Wal­bourne and Effie Slade, Step fa­ther Richard Slade, brother-in-law Brendan and niece Michelle Sparkes. Wil­fred will al­ways be re­mem­bered by his lov­ing fam­ily, son Shel­don (Lynn), their chil­dren, Han­nah and Jaxxon, daugh­ter Melanie (Stacey) their chil­dren, Hay­den and Hud­son. Sis­ters Ruby (Brendon) and their chil­dren, Dar­lene, Donna (Paul) and their son Nathan. June (Brian), Harry (Natasha) their chil­dren, Ry­lan and Gage. Matilda (Rick) her daugh­ter Linda (Norm) their chil­dren, Heather, Wil­liam, Natalie and Mark. Step Brother Ian (Au­drey) their chil­dren Vaughan, and Tyson. May and her chil­dren, Ta­mala and Trevor, Jackie and her fam­ily, and many more fam­ily and friends. Wil­fred was a kind and gen­tle man, with a great sense of humour. He loved his fam­ily and cher­ished the friend­ships he made over the years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Wil­fred had a tremen­dous spirit and never com­plained about all he had to go through. He was a fighter right to the end. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions may be made to the Bliss Can­cer Clinic in St. John’s.
