Snow falls into first place

For the sec­ond week in a row, Don Snow was the top male bowler in the 50 Plus Bowl­ing League at the Old Mill Lanes in Bay Roberts for the week of Nov. 18.

Snow bowled a 212 to lead the men’s high sin­gle, while Gord Roberts bowled a 181 to place sec­ond.

Gerry Brad­bury came in third bowl­ing a 176.

On the women’s side, Marg Brad­bury bowled a 184 to fin­ish on top.

Verna Bow­er­ing came in sec­ond with a 172, while Char­lotte Frost and Pearl Bishop tied for third with a 168.

In the men’s high triple scor­ing, Snow again came out on top with a 584.

Bowlers Gord Roberts and Gerry Brad­bury fin­ished sec­ond and third with scores of 519 and 495.

Verna Bow­er­ing bowled a 493 to take the high po­si­tion in the ladies’ high triple.

Marg Brad­bury came sec­ond with a 485 and Kay Fol­lett was third with a 468.

Don’s Mir­a­cles main­tained its hold on first place in the team stand­ings with 14 points.

Bright Lights and the Strange Bunch fol­low closely be­hind with 13 points apiece.
