Re­sults from Bay Roberts 50-plus bowl­ing league

Nov. 10 Eric Mercer took top spot in the men’s high sin­gle of the Bay Roberts 50- plus Bowl­ing League af­ter bowl­ing a score of 205.

Ger­ald Brad­bury bowled a 198 to take the sec­ond spot, while Wilf Spurrell bowled a 190 to round out the top three.

On the women’s side, Kay Fol­lett bowled a 194 to fin­ish on top.

Verna Bow­er­ing came in sec­ond with a 192, while Mary Tucker bowled a 187, good for third.

In the men’s high triple scor­ing, Ger­ald Brad­bury claimed top spot with a 570.

Wilf Spurrell and Lloyd Ros­siter fin­ished sec­ond and third with scores of 492 and 474.

Kay Fol­lett com­pleted a sweep on the ladies’ side when she bowled a 529 to take the high po­si­tion in the ladies’ high triple.

Verna Bow­er­ing came sec­ond with a 492 and Mary Tucker was third af­ter fin­ish­ing with a score of 477.

Don’s Mir­a­cles and the Strange Bunch fin­ished atop to team stand­ings with 15 points a piece. Nov. 18 Ger­ald Brad­bury stood at the top of the men’s high sin­gle with a score of 195, nar­rowly edg­ing Don Snow, who bowled a 194 and fin­ished in sec­ond place.

Lloyd Ros­siter fin­ished in the top three with a 180.

Kay Fol­lett scored a 180, enough to fin­ish as the top seed on the women’s bracket.

Verna Bow­er­ing came sec­ond with a 177 and Beatrice Brad­bury bowled a 172 to fin­ish third.

In the men’s high triple, Ger­ald Brad­bury took top spot for the sec­ond week in a row with a 529.

Lloyd Ros­siter fin­ished sec­ond af­ter bowl­ing a 484, and Don Snow came in third with a score of 480.

Kay Fol­lett bowled a 486 to nab first place in the ladies’ high triple, while Verna Bow­er­ing, 452, and Mary Tucker, 419, rounded out the top three.

The Strange Bunch were the lead­ers in team stand­ings af­ter ac­cu­mu­lat­ing 18 points.

Don Mir­a­cles, fall­ing from the top spot, nar­rowly missed out on a tie for top spot with 17 points.
