Cases against youths set over to January
Two male youths ages 15 and 16 from Victoria have had their cases set over until Jan. 9, when they will appear in provincial court in Harbour Grace to face charges of assault, according to Sgt. Marc Coloumbe of Trinity Conception District RCMP.
The charges stem from an incident on Friday, Oct. 21, when a 13year- old boy from Carbonear was attacked in the Trinity Conception Square parking lot near Walmart.
The victim of the assault was thrown to the ground and repeatedly struck in the head.
“He sustained minor head injuries and a mild concussion,” Const. Cameron Lockhart of Trinity Conception District RCMP told The Compass at the time.
He was treated and released from the hospital.
