COOPER, Maxwell G. – Passed peacefully away at the In­ter­faith Cit­i­zen’s Home, Car­bon­ear on Wed­nes­day, Fe­bru­ary 1, 2012, Maxwell G. Cooper of Lower Is­land Cove, age 87 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife: Nel­lie; par­ents: Ge­orge and Susie; brother: Thomas; sis­ters: Au­drey and Amy. Left to mourn, brother-in-law: Roy Price, Port Rex­ton; sis­ter-in-law: Myr­tle Turner, Win­nipeg; a num­ber of neph­ews, a niece, cousins and other rel­a­tives and friends. Capt. Wel­don Hay­ward and Ma­jor Donna Hay­ward con­ducted the fu­neral ser­vice on Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 3 at the Sal­va­tion Army Ci­tadel, Lower Is­land Cove. REYNOLDS, Nel­lie – Passed peacefully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hospi­tal on Tues­day, Jan­uary 31, 2012, Nel­lie Reynolds of Car­bon­ear, age 81 years. Pre­de­ceased by: hus­band: Ger­ald; two in­fant chil­dren; daugh­ter: He­len. Left to mourn, two daugh­ters: Shirley ( Jean Guy), Que­bec, Carmel ( Joseph) Fitzsi­mons, St. Cather­ines, ON; seven sons: David (Vi­o­let) and Marvin (Vi­o­let), both of Car­bon­ear, Ger­ard, Fred­er­ick (Anita), Kevin ( Janet) and Carl (Maritess), all of Toronto, ON and Paul (Grace), Whitby, ON; nine­teen grand­chil­dren; four­teen great-grand­chil­dren; son-in-law: Al­lan Mousseau, Toronto, ON; one step-brother: Ger­ald Bar­ron, King’s Cove; three step-sis­ters: Anne, Grand Falls-wind­sor, Madonna Snow, Sum­merville and Theresa (Bill) Mur­phy, King’s Cove; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. CHAR­LOTTE RICE – Passed peacefully away at the Car­bon­ear Hospi­tal on Jan­uary 23, 2012, Char­lotte Rice (Mommy Char­lotte) of Red Head Cove, aged 98 years. Pre­de­ceased by her hus­band, Thomas, par­ents, John and Mary Josephine, grand­sons, Thomas Mccarthy and Gary Rice and great-grand­son, Kyle Snel­grove. Pre­cious mother of Ed­mund, Mary, Bren (Mar­garet), Joe (Mar­garet), He­len (Billy), and Bob (Marie). She also leaves with won­der­ful mem­o­ries a num­ber of grand­chil­dren, great-grand­chil­dren and great-great-grand­chil­dren and a large cir­cle of rel­a­tives and friends. Fu­neral ser­vices were held at the As­sump­tion Parish in Bay de Verde on Jan­uary 27, 2012. In­ter­ment at the Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery in Bay de Verde.
