Kay Fol­lett re­gained her bowl­ing crown with a score of 211 in the ladies’ high sin­gle dur­ing league ac­tion for the 50-Plus Bowl­ing League at the Old Mill Lanes in Bay Roberts on Jan. 27.

Next clostest to Fol­lett was a new­comer to the leader board as Max­ine Brad­bury took sec­ond spot with a 174, while Marg Brad­bury rounded out the top three with a 170.

On the men’s side, Wilf Spurrell failed to break the 200 mark, but took top spot nonethe­less with a 199.

Ed Brown took sec­ond with a 189, while Don Snow fol­lowed clos­esly be­hind with a 187.

Kay Fol­lett was tops again in the ladies’ high triple, scor­ing a 507 to fin­ish with a 30 point lead over her clos­est com­pe­ti­tior.

Marg Brad­bury came in sec­ond with a 471, while Beatrice Brad­bury took third with a 457.

Don Snow grabbed top spot in the men’s high triple with a 510, while Ger­ald Brad­bury amd Ed Brown com­pleted the top three with scores of 485 and 480 re­spec­tively.

Spurrell’s team, the Strange Bunch leap frogged Don’s Mir­a­cles to grab the pole po­si­tion in the team stand­ings with 30 points to Mir­a­cles 28 points.

The Tailen­ders were third with 26 points while Bright Lights and the Bub­ble­heads tied with 24 points.

The Blue­ber­ries scored 23 points to round out the team stand­ings
