EM­BER­LEY, Paul — Passed peacefully away at the Har­bour Lodge Nurs­ing Home, Car­bon­ear on Tues­day, Feb. 21, 2012, Paul Em­ber­ley of Bay De Verde, age 94 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife: Ly­dia; daugh­ter: Cather­ine North; sons: Vic­tor and Nor­man; grand­son: Rickie; broth­ers: Philip, Frank, Joseph and Stephen; sis­ters: Stella, Sarah Jane and An­nie; son-in-law: Bren North. Left to mourn, two sons: Eric (Maudie) and Al­fred, both of Bay de Verde; seven grand­chil­dren: Brett (Cavelle), Chad (An­drea), Quinn (Mary Lynn), Norma, Joy, Denna (Terry) and Juanita (Kirk); six great-grand­chil­dren: Brady, Amy, Christopher, Melody, Erica and Ja­cob; one great-great-grand­son: Kaden; daugh­ter-in­law: Marilyn Em­ber­ley, Lower Is­land Cove; sis­ter-in­law: Eve­lyn Em­ber­ley, Western Bay; brother-in-law: Al­fred (Shirley) Ja­cobs, Bay de Verde; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Main High­way, Western Bay and then at St. Barn­abas Angli­can Church, Bay de Verde. Rev. Michael Car­ruthers con­ducted the fu­neral ser­vice on Fri­day, Feb. 24 at St. Barn­abas Angli­can Church. In­ter­ment took place in St. Barn­abas Angli­can Ceme­tery, Bay de Verde. Do­na­tions in his mem­ory may be made to a char­ity of one’s choice. Fu­neral ar­range­ments were en­trusted to the care of Noel’s Fu­neral Home, Western Bay.
