Time to get Mchappy
Funds from this year’s event helping build Ronald Mcdonad House in St. John’s
Wednesay, May 2 marks the 19th annual Mchappy Day and Mcdonald’s restaurants in Bay Roberts and Carbonear will be joining 1,400 others across Canada in the celebration.
Benefits from the event in Newfoundland and Labrador will go toward furthering the construction of Ronald Mcdonald House in St. John’s.
“The entire team is very excited to play a host to a number of community leaders, supplier and friends to raise money to support the development of Ronald Mcdonald House Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Ken Scott, owner/operator of Bay Robert’s and Carbonear Mcdonald’s. “With a new house to build, we are calling on the entire community to visit Mcdonald’s Restaurants to support a charity that will make a true difference to the families of sick children in our communities.”
Mchappy Day, Mcdonald’s Canada’s national fundraising event, has raised nearly $35 million for Canadian children since its inception in 1977.
In this province, $1 from every Big Mac sandiwch, Happy Meal and hot Mccafe beverage sold will go towards the construction of Ronald Mcdonald House Newfoundland and Labrador.
