Time to get Mchappy

Funds from this year’s event help­ing build Ron­ald Mc­donad House in St. John’s

Wed­ne­say, May 2 marks the 19th an­nual Mchappy Day and Mcdon­ald’s restau­rants in Bay Roberts and Car­bon­ear will be join­ing 1,400 oth­ers across Canada in the cel­e­bra­tion.

Ben­e­fits from the event in New­found­land and Labrador will go to­ward fur­ther­ing the con­struc­tion of Ron­ald Mcdon­ald House in St. John’s.

“The en­tire team is very ex­cited to play a host to a num­ber of com­mu­nity lead­ers, sup­plier and friends to raise money to sup­port the de­vel­op­ment of Ron­ald Mcdon­ald House New­found­land and Labrador,” said Ken Scott, owner/op­er­a­tor of Bay Robert’s and Car­bon­ear Mcdon­ald’s. “With a new house to build, we are call­ing on the en­tire com­mu­nity to visit Mcdon­ald’s Restau­rants to sup­port a char­ity that will make a true dif­fer­ence to the fam­i­lies of sick chil­dren in our com­mu­ni­ties.”

Mchappy Day, Mcdon­ald’s Canada’s na­tional fundrais­ing event, has raised nearly $35 mil­lion for Cana­dian chil­dren since its in­cep­tion in 1977.

In this prov­ince, $1 from ev­ery Big Mac sandi­wch, Happy Meal and hot Mccafe bev­er­age sold will go to­wards the con­struc­tion of Ron­ald Mcdon­ald House New­found­land and Labrador.
