BUSY! BUSY! BUSY! That’s how Garry Gosse describes the average business day at Conception Bay Auto & Tire Centre Ltd.

After managing the Tilton-based operation for 37 years, in 2009 Garry became owner/operator, taking over the business from his brother, Clarence who founded it in 1972.

Starting off with a small, one-bay garage, the business has grown and expanded to include six bays and a staff of nine.

Conception Bay Auto & Tire Centre Ltd. is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

In 2001, Conception Bay Auto & Tire Centre Ltd. marked its 29th year in business with the opening of a new, modern 400-square-foot showroom and customer waiting area.

It’s a place where customers can sit back, relax, watch TV, have a coffee and a friendly chat while waiting to have their tires changed or other service work carried out on their vehicle.

Chad Gosse, who is manager of the operation, can be found behind the service counter ready to provide that “quality service” to his customers.

The idea of adding such a facility to the successful operation came from customers, who wished to see such a set-up in place.
