Youth show allegiance to God and country

The Compass - - OPINION -

Dear Editor:

May I take this opportunity to say congratulations to all the youth of our area for their recent awards and accomplishments.

The combined companies of the CLB Trinity Conception Battalion No. 201 just had training and efficiency exams on April 25 at Davis Elementary in Carbonear. The 295 Baccalieu sea cadets of Old Perlican also had their annual review on April 29.

has sponsored all the local school entrants for the Remembrance Day observations on various subjects.

If you notice, all of these occasions of one type or another, have to do with allegiance to God and country. Our young people have to be daily commended for their efforts and dedication in these areas.

Well done to all of you, and your leaders. Keep the flag flying. We’re proud of you all. You are our future. Joy French-coleman writes
