JENK­INS, Chris — Passed sud­denly away at his res­i­dence in Cape Dorset, Nu­navut on Tues­day, May 8, 2012, Chris Jenk­ins of Western Bay, age 63 years. Pre­de­ceased by aunt: Dolly Jenk­ins, grand­mother: Gertrude Jenk­ins, mother-in-law: Melina Par­sons, sis­ter-in-law: Phyl­lis Slade and brother-in-law: Kevin Dwyer. Left to mourn, wife and lov­ing friend of 43 years: Leona; son and daugh­ter-in-law: Nor­man and Dar­lene, Western Bay; daugh­ter and son-in-law: Lisa and Perry Mul­ley, Western Bay; four pre­cious grand­chil­dren: Brady, Kaitlin, Ha­ley and Blake; lov­ing and adored par­ents: Ru­dolph and Jen­nie, Western Bay; broth­ers: Carl (Linda), Keith (Anna) and David (Sherry), all of Western Bay; sis­ters: Donna (Luke) De­laney, Burnt Point, Jackie (Terry) Hal­l­i­day and Kim (Terry) Whalen, both of Western Bay; broth­ers-in-law: Lloyd (Geral­dine) Par­sons, Miller­town, Jim (Shirley) Par­sons, Bris­tol’s Hope; spe­cial brother-in-law: Eriel Par­sons, Ochre Pit Cove; sis­ters-in-law: Muriel Ped­dle, Car­bon­ear, Mary ( John) Sul­li­van, Spa­niard’s Bay and Joyce (Ches) Hur­rell, Ochre Pit Cove; ex­tended and beloved fam­ily of the North: Tina, Shawn and Bri­onna Mor­ris­sey, Art and Doris Ste­wart, Ed and Jean Shep­pard, Mike Soares; also staff and stu­dents of Peter Pit­se­o­lak School; a won­der­ful and large cir­cle of nieces, neph­ews, trea­sured fam­ily and friends. ROSE, John ‘Jack’ Sr. — Passed away sud­denly but peacefully at his res­i­dence on Mon­day, May 14, 2012, John ‘Jack’ Rose Sr. of Har­bour Grace, age 77 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife: Edith; par­ents: Michael and Bertha; broth­ers: Al­lan, Tom and Joe; sis­ters: Mary ‘Mol­lie’ Mccarthy; Frances White and Kath­leen Shea. Left to mourn, two daugh­ters: Mar­garet ( John) Mer­ri­gan, Har­bour Grace and Brenda (Her­man) Miller, Mis­sis­sauga, ON; five sons: Jack (Chris­tine), David (Ber­nice), Tom (Brid­get), Bill (Donna) and Philip, all of Har­bour Grace; fif­teen grand­chil­dren; eleven great-grand­chil­dren; two sis­ters: Theresa (Dan) Neil, Har­bour Grace and Mil­dred (Don) Hunt, Shearstown; very spe­cial friend: Win­nie White, Har­bour Grace; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends.
