HOP­KINS, Lea­mond W. — Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal on Wed­nes­day, May 23, 2012, Lea­mond W. Hop­kins of Car­bon­ear, age 87 years. Pre­de­ceased by wife: Stella; in­fant daugh­ter: Jean; par­ents: Wil­lis and Rowena Hop­kins; baby brother: Wil­liam Ge­orge; sis­ter: Jemima Eve­lyn. Left to mourn, six daugh­ters: Lor­raine (Hedley) Fong, Spa­niard’s Bay, Judy (Glenn) Rose, Salmon Cove, June Hop­kins, Mar­garet Hop­kins and Eve­lyn (Derek) Ash, all of Car­bon­ear and Bon­nie Hop­kins, Lit­tle Bri­tain, ON; four sons: Ge­orge (Eve­lyn), Fresh­wa­ter, Car­bon­ear, Elvis (Alv­ina), Car­bon­ear, Woodrow (Bev­erly), River­head, Har­bour Grace and Michael (Ali­cia), Car­bon­ear; 19 grand­chil­dren; 10 great-grand­chil­dren; one great-great-grand­child; two broth­ers: Har­ri­son, Ed­mon­ton, AB and Llewellyn (Mil­dred), Car­bon­ear; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Wa­ter Street, Car­bon­ear. Pas­tor Deano Young con­ducted the funeral ser­vice on Satur­day, May 26 at Cal­vary Pen­te­costal Church, Car­bon­ear. In­ter­ment took place in Cal­vary Pen­te­costal Ceme­tery, Car­bon­ear. As an ex­pres­sion of sym­pa­thy, do­na­tions in his memory may be made to the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal Pal­lia­tive Care Unit c/o TCP Health Foun­da­tion.
