Ceebees minor hands out awards, relfects on year
The CeeBees Minor Hockey Association held its annual awards banquet on May 21 with close to 600 parents, players and coaches in attendance.
This year CeeBees minor hockey recognized all players from the beginners – novice with trophies for their year with the CeeBees. These players are the foundation of our programs and the grassroots of minor hockey.
We also wished success to our graduating midgets who have been involved with minor hockey and are leaving us to pursue other challenges. We ask you always remember the respect and sportsmanship CeeBees minor hockey have instilled in you and keep in touch. Also members from the CeeBees bingo group were present and made presentations to all the players within the CeeBees organization. Their efforts in fundraising all year were recognized and greatly appreciated by the association. Congrats was also given to the medal winners at the provincial and mega tournaments for 2012.
The CeeBees received a total of six medals in various provincial tournaments and all players are congratulated for the sportsmanship shown across the province.
In attendance were Dec LeCour, eastern director. Also present were members of the late Craig Shute’s family, and members of the Thoms family.
It was a busy year with lots of growth in players. We would like to congratulate all players from our youngest to our oldest for a great year in hockey. To all our coaches, volunteers and parents, we would like to send a huge thank you. We have a great group of volunteers within the CeeBees organization and without your efforts the praise we receive about the CeeBees would not be possible. Wendy Penney is president of CeeBees minor
