Show­ing off at the Show ‘n Shine

For the 16th year, Con­cep­tion Bay North’s clas­sic cars were on dis­play at the Leg­endary CBN Clas­sic Car Club’s an­nual Show and Shine in Paddy’s Gar­den in Car­bon­ear, June 7-8. The show saw 40 clas­sic cars on dis­play and the event pulled in $1,500, some of which will be do­nated to the Tri­Con Spe­cial Olympics. Or­ga­nizer Frank Green called the event “fairly suc­cess­ful.” Nine awards were given out. High­lights of those be­ing the Craig Asthrope Memo­rial Award won by Frank Ge­orge and his 1971 Bar­racuda, the Sean O’Keefe Memo­rial Award won by Glenn Drover and his 1976 Trans Am, and the Mayor’s Choice Award cap­tured by Ron Gal­lant and his 1987 Porsche 944.
