Showing off at the Show ‘n Shine
For the 16th year, Conception Bay North’s classic cars were on display at the Legendary CBN Classic Car Club’s annual Show and Shine in Paddy’s Garden in Carbonear, June 7-8. The show saw 40 classic cars on display and the event pulled in $1,500, some of which will be donated to the TriCon Special Olympics. Organizer Frank Green called the event “fairly successful.” Nine awards were given out. Highlights of those being the Craig Asthrope Memorial Award won by Frank George and his 1971 Barracuda, the Sean O’Keefe Memorial Award won by Glenn Drover and his 1976 Trans Am, and the Mayor’s Choice Award captured by Ron Gallant and his 1987 Porsche 944.
