PIKE, El­iz­a­beth - Passed peace­fully away at the Lion’s Manor Nurs­ing Home, Pla­cen­tia on Thurs­day, Au­gust 2, 2012, El­iz­a­beth Pike of Car­bon­ear, age 90 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: Jor­dan, 1985; sis­ters: Veta Polem and Beatrice Martin. Left to mourn, three daugh­ters: Carol (Max) Pow­ell and Donna (Bill) Smith, both of Car­bon­ear and Juanita (Gerry) Slade, Cam­bridge, ON; two sons: Jim (Greta), Win­ter­ton and Danny (Glenda), Car­bon­ear; step-son: Frank Pike, Har­bour Grace; twelve grand­chil­dren: Max, Steve (An­nette), Joanne (Terry), Karol-Ann, Danny ( Jill), Jeremy (Ter­iLynn), Carolyn, Rachelle (Bob), Robyn, Su­san, Joshua (Vanessa) and El­iz­a­beth (Rich); fif­teen great-grand­chil­dren; two half-broth­ers: Sterling (Co­lette) Seward and Ger­ald (Nancy) Seward, both of On­tario; two half­sis­ters: Phyl­lis Cull, Broad Cove and Florence (Ed) St. Ge­orge, Heart’s De­sire; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rev. T. Wayne Black­wood con­ducted the funeral ser­vice on Satur­day, Au­gust 4 at Bethany United Church, Car­bon­ear. In­ter­ment was in Bethany United Ceme­tery, Car­bon­ear.
