Questions over land purchase in Clarke’s Beach
Clarke’s Beach Mayor Betty Moore was raising questions last week about a decision by council to pay $40,000 for a piece of land next to the cenotaph on the Conception Bay Highway. Moore said she was “surprised and shocked” by the price, and questioned the process by which the decision was made. Coun. Roland Andrews defended the deal, saying it was a “good value.”
