GAR­LAND, An­nie G. — Passed peace­fully away in the pres­ence of her lov­ing fam­ily at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hospi­tal on Thurs­day, Aug. 23, 2012, An­nie G. Gar­land of Car­bon­ear, age 82 years. Pre­de­ceased by in­fant daugh­ter: Jo­ce­lyn; par­ents: John and Gertrude Pel­ley; grand­daugh­ter: April; broth­ers: Si­las, Mal­colm, Wil­liam, Ed­ward, Frank and Arthur; sis­ters: Florence, Rose and So­phie. Left to mourn, hus­band: Clif­ford; two daugh­ters: Judy (Calvin) Ped­dle, Spa­niard’s Bay and Mae ( John) This­tle, Car­bon­ear; one son: Bruce ( Jean), Car­bon­ear; four grand­chil­dren: Terri, Joe, Vanessa (Terry) and Shel­don (Michelle); two great­grand­chil­dren: Claire and Sa­man­tha; one sis­ter: Jean Clarke, Car­bon­ear; spe­cial friends: Vi­o­let Ros­siter and Edna Moore, both of Car­bon­ear; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. At An­nie’s re­quest cre­ma­tion has taken place. Rev. Mark Janes con­ducted a pri­vate fam­ily ser­vice was held at Noel’s Memo­rial Chapel, Car­bon­ear. LUFF­MAN, Ray­mond — Passed peace­fully away at the Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hospi­tal on Sun­day, Aug. 19, 2012, Ray­mond Luff­man of Har­bour Grace, age 62 years. Pre­de­ceased by par­ents: Wil­liam and Gla­dys Luff­man; sec­ond mother: Edith Hunt; brother: Michael Hunt; aunts and un­cles. Left to mourn, wife: Joan; two daugh­ters: Gail (Ed­ward) Bernier, White­horse, Yukon and Robyn (David Kel­loway), Al­berta; one son: Wil­liam ‘Bill’, Har­bour Grace; three grand­chil­dren: Jar­rett, Katina and Ma­son; sec­ond fa­ther: Wil­liam Hunt, Har­bour Grace; one brother: Brooks (Doris), Har­bour Grace; two sis­ters: Janet (Wal­ter) Neil and Gail (Mor­ris) Chafe, both of Har­bour Grace; also a large num­ber of nieces, neph­ews, broth­ers and sis­ters-in-law and other rel­a­tives and friends.
