Playground funding for Dildo
Children in Green’s Harbour will not be the only youths to get a new playground on the Trinity Bay shore.
Children in Dildo will also be getting a new playground structure after it was announced by the Newfoundland and Labrador Government that the town will receive $15,000 through the Community Capital Grant program.
“With the new outdoor play space, residents in Dildo will have a place to participate in fun, physical activities,” said Recreation Minister Derrick Dalley.
The latest recreation investments through the Community Capital Grant program have helped not only the Dildo Recreation Committee, but also several other communitybased organizations, municipalities, schools and recreation commissions upgrade recreation and sports infrastructure.
“This funding will greatly assist the newly-formed Dildo Recreation Committee to achieve their goal of developing a new playground,” said Bellevue MHA Calvin Peach.
