KENNEDY, Mary Ann — Passed peace­fully away at the Har­bour Lodge Nurs­ing Home, Car­bon­ear on Thurs­day, Sept. 13, 2012, Mary Ann Kennedy of Western Bay, age 86 years. Pre­de­ceased by hus­band: An­gus; fa­ther: Jabez; mother: Mary Ann; step-mother: Florence; sis­ters: Melina, Beatrice and Effie; half-sis­ter: Jean; half-brother: Ed­ward. Left to mourn, son: Fred (Linda), Western Bay; two grand­sons: Barry (Angie) and Ja­son (Yvonne); four great-grand­chil­dren: Hai­ley, Jaden, Cody and Lu­cas; sis­ter: Hat­tie Mil­ley, Lux­ury Es­tates, Car­bon­ear; half-sis­ters: Mil­dred (Boyd) Wheadon and Florence (Morley) But­ton, both of Western Bay; half-broth­ers: Ken­neth (Hilda) Sel­lars, Old Per­li­can and Joseph (Leona) Sel­lars, Western Bay; sis­ter-in-law: Al­li­son Tem­ple, Long Cove; also a large num­ber of other rel­a­tives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main High­way, Western Bay. Rev. Glenn Jarvis con­ducted the funeral ser­vice on Mon­day, Septem­ber 17 at McDow­ell United Church, Western Bay. In­ter­ment took place in the United Ceme­tery, Western Bay South. Do­na­tions in her mem­ory may be made to the Alzheimer’s So­ci­ety. LOCK­LIN, Elva Mae — Passed away at the Lion’s Manor, Pla­cen­tia on Sun­day, Septem­ber 16, 2012, Elva Mae Lock­lin who moved to Car­bon­ear in 1966; for­merly of On­tario, age 94 years. Leav­ing to mourn, friends: Diz Dich­mont, Aubrey and Pat Dawe, Betty and El­iz­a­beth Hall; also a large num­ber of trea­sured friends. Cre­ma­tion has taken place. A cel­e­bra­tion of life will be held on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the con­fer­ence room at the Interfaith Cit­i­zens Home, 41 Wa­ter Street, Car­bon­ear.
