Fun and Fit­ness

St. Paul’s Church Hall, Har­bour Grace, of­fers a pro­gram for men and women to im­prove flex­i­bil­ity, strength and bal­ance us­ing stretches, ex­er­cises and in­door walk­ing. Ses­sions be­gin at 9:45 a.m. ev­ery Tues­day and Thurs­day. Pro­ceeds do­nated to church projects.

Sea Cadets

Mem­bers of Tri­con Club Bell Aliant Tele­phone Pi­o­neers de­liv­ered 36 back­packs to six schools in the Trin­ity Con­cep­tion re­gion on Aug. 29. This was made pos­si­ble through Bell Aliant’s Back­packs For Kids Pro­gramme. Schools ben­e­fit­ting from the pro­gram in­cluded St. Peter’s El­e­men­tary in Up­per Is­land Cove, All Hal­lows El­e­men­tary in North River, Im­mac­u­late Con­cep­tion El­e­men­tary in Col­liers, Whit­bourne El­e­men­tary, Acre­man El­e­men­tary in Green’s Har­bour, and Per­salvic El­e­men­tary in Vic­to­ria.
