Pre­de­ceased by hus­band Patrick in June 2001; par­ents John and Irene Mur­phy; par­ents-in-law Thomas and Gertrude Fitzger­ald; sis­ters Ber­nice Hart, Mary Ab­bott, Bride Bar­row and in­fant Pauline; broth­ers: in­fant Jackie, Tom, An­thony and Jack. Left to mourn, Made­line and Patrick’s chil­dren, daugh­ters: Patricia ( Noel) Mur­phy, Western Bay, Pauline Fitzger­ald (Gary Nof­tle), Broad Cove, Anna (Keith) Jenk­ins, Ber­nadette (Rick) Pre­ston and son: John P. MERCER Carrie (April 18, 1928- Septem­ber 16, 2012) — Passed away on Sun­day, Septem­ber 16, 2012, shortly af­ter ad­mis­sion to Car­bon­ear Gen­eral Hospi­tal, in the pres­ence of her chil­dren, sis­ter, and son-in-law. Carrie was pre­de­ceased by her hus­band Ch­es­ley R; in­fant daugh­ter Cyn­thia Grace; par­ents John and Delilah Bell; sis­ters Vi­o­let and Clara Bell; Al­freda Jewer, and Tena (Hol­lis- de­ceased) Etheridge. She leaves with much love and pre­cious mem­o­ries son Bob (Marie) Mercer; daugh­ters Linda Mercer (Tony Smith) and Laura Saun­ders; three cher­ished grand­sons Robert Mercer, Jami­son (Kate) Mercer, and Aaron Saun­ders; sis­ter Pearl ( James- de­ceased) Buckle; broth­ers Her­bert ( Judy) Bell and Theodore (Ivy) Bell; brother-in-law Harry Jewer; sis­ter-in-law Eve­lyn Mercer, and many spe­cial n ieces, neph­ews, fam­ily mem­bers and friends as well as her de­voted cats, Candy and Catie. A beau­ti­ful cel­e­bra­tion of her life and in­ter­ment took place at Cen­tral United Church, Bay Roberts on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 19, 2012.
